Potato Hunt": Players Complain About Sharp Drop in Graphics Quality in Monster Hunter Wilds Beta

The beta test of Monster Hunter Wilds has sparked disappointment among players due to a drastic drop in graphics quality. Some beta testers have reported an unexpected bug that causes the game’s visual detail to plummet, rendering even high-end systems with low-poly, "potato-like" models. This drop in detail has left players puzzled, as they haven’t yet pinpointed the exact cause of the issue.

Beyond graphical concerns, players also reported additional performance problems with Monster Hunter Wilds. These include low frame rates, sudden frame drops, and issues with the frame generation technology, as well as a general dissatisfaction with the game’s visual quality, even when running on "high" settings.

Capcom responded to the feedback, assuring players that the current build of Monster Hunter Wilds has seen improvements over the beta version. In a recent article, the developers outlined several tips to help players tackle these technical issues and provided a list of known bugs to keep beta testers informed.

Monster Hunter Wilds is set for release on February 28, 2025, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, where fans hope to see significant optimizations and a polished final product.
